Winner
The Stremler research lab at the University of Toronto focuses on improving sleep and related health outcomes for children and parents.
For the Healthy Behaviour Data Challenge, the Stremler Lab submitted the PHASStrak System which entails an inexpensive Bluetooth accelerometer, smartphone app and cloud-based automated analysis pipeline to generate objective measures of sleep, physical activity and sedentary behaviour. The PHASStrak open platform allows monitoring of health indicators by public health agencies and individual Canadians, and could support future public health interventions.
