Runa Whitaker

Runa leads CIBC’s Community portfolio which includes Corporate donations and grantmaking, Employee giving and volunteering, Cause sponsorships, and CIBC Children’s Foundation, a private giving foundation established in 1984. An experienced, trusted, and high-performing leader who is committed to driving social impact, building meaningful partnerships, and increasing opportunities that lead to successful outcomes for communities, companies, and employees. A passionate champion for equity and equality, in her spare time, Runa volunteers on a few boards focused on ‘leveling the playing field’ for young people with access to education and enrichment programs for underserved communities. Runa lives in Toronto, Canada with her husband and two children, who all love to travel and experience global cultures.
